GO Fest 2022 Seattle art

Pokémon GO Fest to największe wydarzenie tego roku — dołączcie do nas w Seattle!

Seattle, nadchodzimy. Wydarzenie Pokémon GO Fest zawita do „szmaragdowego miasta” i będzie tak duże, że nie zmieści się w jednym parku. Każdy dzień będzie podzielony na dwie części — jedną spędzicie w Seattle Center, a drugą w śródmieściu Seattle — to więcej atrakcji niż kiedykolwiek wcześniej.

poranne wydarzenie w parku

The event will adhere to the state and local health guidelines that are in place at the time of the event. As we welcome people to the event, we will be working with Seattle Center and local organizations to put measures in place for the health and safety of our attendees. The measures may flex and change as our situation evolves, but they will err on the side of ensuring our patrons enjoy a clean and safe experience at Seattle Center.

We are asking all visitors to follow travel-related health and safety guidelines that apply to their particular situations. Please also follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. These include the following:

  • King County COVID-19 Guidance: here
  • Seattle Center Safety Website: here
What safety and security measures are in place?

Seattle Center’s Emergency Services Unit (ESU) employs uniformed security officers who regularly patrol the campus and parking garages 24 hours a day by foot, bicycle, and vehicle. They also provide first aid and respond to emergencies and visitor inquiries. The ESU coordinates closely with Seattle Police Department (SPD) personnel to ensure compliance with Seattle Center campus and facility rules of conduct.

Additional event security: We have worked closely with Seattle Center and local authorities to create and follow a carefully crafted plan for fast and capable responses to a range of security needs and emergency situations to ensure the safety of all Trainers.

Emergencies and disaster response: Seattle Center staff are trained in preparedness policies and procedures to respond to emergencies of various types and sizes. Seattle Center follows the Seattle Disaster Readiness and Response Plan.

Building evacuation procedures: If circumstances require evacuation, Trainers should follow the instructions given over public address systems and as directed by Seattle Center staff, uniformed security officers, police, or medical responders.

Lost children: In the event of a missing child, please notify a Seattle Center representative, emergency services officer (206) 684-7272 or customer service staff (206) 684-7200 so that they can coordinate to make sure the child is returned safely.

Sustainability
What can I do to help with sustainability?

Plan Ahead and Prepare

  • Think about what you bring. Choose reusable bags or totes for your supplies and souvenir items to help eliminate plastic bag waste. Avoid buying single-use items and disposing of them while in the park.

Stick to the Path

  • While playing, make sure to stick to designated paths and avoid any areas that are closed off. When vegetation is trampled, there is a greater chance that either weeds will grow back in its place or nothing will grow back at all. If everyone taking part in Pokémon GO Fest strayed from the path, our host park could suffer severe impacts, so help us take care of the park by sticking to dedicated paths and trails.

Pack It in, Pack It Out

  • Our goal for Pokémon GO Fest is to leave the park better than we found it. As much as possible, things you bring into the park should leave with you, too. For other waste, Pokémon GO Fest will have trash and recycling stations around the host park for your use. Even leftover biodegradable materials, such as food scraps, should be disposed of in a compost bin. Though these items are biodegradable, they are not native to the host city and can create an eyesore for others. A general rule of thumb is to ask yourself, “Would this be here if I weren’t?” If the answer is no, then the best practice is to pack it out with you and dispose of it properly.

Keep Wildlife Wild

  • Observe wildlife from a distance and never feed them human food. Animals can become dependent on leftover food or trash and become aggressive as a result. By sticking to paths and not approaching wildlife, you avoid stressing animals or damaging their habitat.

Leave It as You Find It

  • If each visitor picked a flower, collected a rock, or didn’t properly dispose of waste, then the natural habitat would be depleted. Leave the parks and city as you find them to protect the habitat of plants and animals, as well as the outdoor experiences of millions of visitors. Even better, with the help of fellow Trainers, we can leave our host city better than we found it!
What do I do with my trash?

Trash Disposal

  • Garbage/refuse collection and disposal is ultimately the responsibility of everyone. Any and all refuse generated must be properly disposed of in receptacles located throughout the park. Please dispose of your trash in the correct recycling and regular receptacles, as notated by signs.
Exit & Re-Entry Policy
What is the exit & re-entry policy?
  • All ticket holders are allowed to re-enter the event throughout their ticketed session. Only ticket holders will be able to participate in the Pokémon GO Fest gameplay experience and specialized elements.

Trainers will be required to select from two gameplay sessions to guide their gameplay throughout the day. All attendees will receive two separate Special Research stories—one during Park Gameplay and one during Citywide Gameplay—to help guide their event experience.

Morning Session

  • With a Morning Session ticket, Trainers will start their day off in Seattle Center and explore all the park has to offer. From 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be an intermission without gameplay to allow transit from the park to your preferred play location within the city.
  • Then, in the afternoon, Trainers will begin the Citywide Gameplay portion of their experience! During the Citywide portion of your experience, you can enjoy event gameplay no matter where you are located within the city.

Afternoon Session

  • With an Afternoon Session ticket, Trainers will begin their day by enjoying event gameplay anywhere in Seattle. From 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be an intermission without gameplay to allow transit from your preferred play location within the city to the park.
  • Then, starting at 2:30 p.m., Trainers will enjoy the Park Gameplay portion of their experience, enjoying all that Seattle Center has to offer.

Medical Support

A patron requiring insulin is allowed to bring their medically necessary materials and medications as long as all medicine has a prescription label with the patron’s name. Out of concern for the festival staff who handle the trash, patrons are expected to dispose of medical waste and syringes in the proper disposal located at the medical area. Please do not dispose of these items in other trash bins at the event.

If additional support is required, please check in at the medical area.

What if I have mobility limitations?
  • The park grounds are ADA accessible, but please be aware that this is a venue with distances between attractions. The length of the experience is about 1.5 miles. Also, it is an outdoor festival situated in a park and across city streets. Therefore, most travel is over natural terrain and pathways. If it rains, there will be mud in some places. Pokémon GO Fest 2022 does not provide personal care, golf cart rides, or push services of any kind or wheelchairs for rent or loan. Guests should make arrangements in advance if a wheelchair is needed and plan to bring attendants, if required.

  • Accessible toilets are available throughout the park.
  • A Seattle Center campus map (with bathrooms) is available here.

ADA parking is available within the park on a “first-come, first-served” basis. The Seattle Center amenities website is available here.

Accessible parking spaces are located at several locations along the periphery of the campus. All Seattle Center garages have designated accessible parking spots. If all the available spaces are full, visitors should check with the attendant on duty for remaining availability.

  • Mercer Parking Garage offers 67 accessible parking stalls on levels B and C, adjacent to the garage’s sky bridge to Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. Note: Due to height restrictions, the stalls at this facility are not van-accessible.
  • The 5th Ave N Garage offers 24 accessible parking stalls, including eight van-accessible stalls. One of the van-accessible stalls is also equipped with an Electrical Vehicle Changing station.
  • The Theatre Commons ADA Parking Lot, located between Seattle Repertory Theatre and Cornish Playhouse, offers six accessible parking stalls, including three van-accessible stalls and an accessible pick-up and drop-off area. An additional drop-off area along Mercer St. between Cornish Playhouse and Phelps Center / Exhibition Hall also accommodates patrons with disabilities.
  • The School District Parking Lot, located at 5th Avenue North near the Harrison St. entry to the Seattle Center campus, offers six parking spaces, with one accessible parking stall and five van-accessible stalls, which are located in the southwest corner of the lower parking lot.

Please check the information on the Seattle Center parking page or call (206) 684-7200.

Pets & Service Animals
Can I bring a pet or service animal?

Seattle Center has restrictions on animals. Animals are allowed on the grounds if they are on adequate leashes and under the control of an individual physically able to restrain the animal. ADA service animals are allowed.

Food & Beverage
Can I bring food? What food is available at Seattle Center?

You can bring prepackaged food and bottled water. There will also be a variety of food vendors on-site. The Armory hosts a variety of dining options, including local food vendors, and there are additional restaurants throughout the campus.

Is there water?

Hydration stations to refill water bottles will be located throughout Seattle Center.
