Thank you for coming to Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo!

Trainers,

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us in Sapporo, Japan, for this year’s third in-person Pokémon GO Fest event! Thousands of Trainers gathered over the weekend to explore Nakajima Park and the wider city of Sapporo.

Here’s a small sample of what they accomplished.

  • Trainers caught over 16,700,000 Pokémon.

  • Trainers collectively explored over 678,000 kilometers.

Attendees explored four real-world habitats—Athletic Park, Dreamy Mindscape, Frozen Lake, and Living Meadow—while learning about Sky Forme Shaymin via Special Research tasks. Reports indicate that Trainers at this event were among the first to encounter Shiny Pansage and Shiny Swirlix!

Throughout the event weekend, Pikachu and friends marched through the city of Sapporo in a festive parade. Some Trainers even managed to snag a special photo with Pikachu, Vulpix, and Alolan Vulpix. Against this festive backdrop, Trainers joined Rhi in investigating the Ultra Wormholes—and the Ultra Beast Xurkitree made its Pokémon GO debut!

So far, four Ultra Beasts have appeared at Pokémon GO Fest events around the world, and Professor Willow is still missing! Could these occurrences be related? Pokémon GO Fest 2022 culminates with a global finale event on Saturday, August 27, 2022!

It was amazing to see so many Trainers adventuring together in Sapporo, but no matter how you participated in Pokémon GO Fest 2022, we’re thrilled that you joined us. Let’s GO!
